Lovely SA 2015
Day 4 at 28 Jan 2015
Tsitsikamma at Storms River Mouth Restcamp (Oceanette open-plan)
"Today, after a not so good sleep – because the beds are hard as bricks - we got up at 8.00h. We had our breakfast and we started our Mouth Trail at 10.30h.
It was a nice little hike for about a bit more then one hour … including all the photo stops. Unfortunately the Suspension Bridge was closed for maintenance but we walked all the other bridges. On our way back we went also down to the beaches. Back at the main lodge we had our very nice lunch. This national park has the best restaurant from all the NP we have been before!
At 14.00h we started to our next tour. We went by car in direction Plettenberg Bay to the Jucani Sanctuary where the car about all the big cats from around the world as lions and white lions, caracals, Bengali, white and Siberian tigers, cheetahs, leopards, jaguars, … … It was very interesting and really very sad as well as we learned that some of the species are so endangered that even with the best breading programs there is nothing to do about it. It is only a matter of time when they will be extinct. And that’s very soon!!!
Back at the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp we went to check our email before we had a nice and quit evening.
We worked for the web site, downloaded the photo’s etc.
In the meantime I cooked us a simple but nice dinner and we watched a little TV before we went to bed. And: Ed prepared our beds with 2 other blankets, to make them a little softer. We’ll see if it helps."
